Sharrow opens Detroit plant to boost marine propeller production, creating jobs and increasing output
A new 60,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Metro Detroit is being opened by Sharrow Engineering and its marine business, Sharrow Marine, as part of their production expansion. The plant is being constructed on the site of the former Eastland Center mall in Harper Woods' Eastland Commerce Center.
The new location is expected to start production in September and be completely operational by December. Sharrow's production capacity will be greatly increased by the facility, more than triple its existing output. The business expects producing up to 2,000 sharrow propellers per month after it is finished. These innovative propellers are used in performance, commercial and defense marine markets.
This expansion in production comes after Sharrow recently relocated its headquarters to Michigan Central, validating its dedication to the Detroit area. In order to support the increased production, Sharrow is expanding by hiring engineers, technicians and experienced laborers. Greg Sharrow who is the company's founder and CEO have highlighted how important this move is for the business and the sector.
He declared, "This is an important step for American manufacturing and the future of marine propulsion." "We are pleased to grow in Detroit and carry on creating innovative propeller technology." This facility represents an important turning point in Sharrow's development and supports inventive manufacturing in Michigan as well as the creation of local jobs.
