With the appointment of Akhilesh Sahu as managing director, Global management consultancy firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has called forth a strategic improvement of its industrial and consumer goods practices. Sahu, who brings over 16 years of experience in strategic consulting, will be based out of New Delhi.
Sahu was a partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he spearheaded numerous projects in industrial goods and marketing, sales, and pricing practices. His experience spans a diverse range of fields, including commercial and passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, cement, consumer electricals, durables, and small domestic appliances. Sahu has successfully directed various large-scale business transformations, focusing on new business strategies, product innovation, go-to-market acceleration, and digital transformation. Himanshu Bajaj, Managing Director and co-country leader at A&M, stated that Akhilesh’s addition would improve the firm's standing in industrial and consumer goods. He highlighted that Sahu's leadership would be vital in progressing their sectoral capabilities and driving growth.

Well-known for its role in advising Lehman Brothers during its bankruptcy and assisting HealthSouth through a $2.7 billion accounting defamation, A&M continues to strengthen its global footprint.
