Plastics Pact Appointed Jonathan Quinn

Quinn previously served as the global VP of marketing and sustainability at The API Group

Jonathan Quinn has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Plastics Pact, effective immediately. Quinn, a skilled business professional with 15 years of experience in plastic packaging and sustainability, takes over the leadership from Emily Tipaldo, the organization’s first Executive Director. As a strategic advisor, Tripado will continue to serve the organization.

Quinn previously served as the global VP of marketing and sustainability at The API Group, and he brings forth a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to promoting a circular economy for plastics. His appointment is an important milestone for the U.S. Plastics Pact, which has more than 130 member organizations dedicated to changing the lifecycle of plastic packaging in the United States. The U.S. Plastics Pact, under Quinn’s leadership, aims to advance its efforts outlined in Roadmap 2.0, with a specific focus on improving sustainable projects, strengthening the industry as a whole through collaboration, and attaining the vision of decreasing the amount of plastic waste. Quinn reaffirmed his excitement to join the organization, highlighting his commitment to drive change and foster innovation within the organization.

The appointment was welcomed by Holli Alexander, Board Chair of the U.S. Plastics Pact, who praised Emily Tipaldo for her significant role in establishing the organization as a leader in sustainable innovation. With its new leader, Jonathan Quinn, the U.S. Plastics Pact aims to continue its substantial role in reshaping the future of plastic packaging for a greener and more circular economy.
