Launched on India’s 80th Independence Day, the campaign seeks to expose crumbling school infrastructure and demand basic facilities for children across India.

The “School Thik Karo” campaign was initiated on India’s 80th Independence Day with the motive of exposing deteriorating infrastructure in state-run public schools. It gives students and communities a platform to raise their voice and demand that the government provide proper classrooms, clean drinking water, and safe, hygienic toilets. These are necessities of every school. Children across India are protesting because many government schools still lack these essential facilities.
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) was launched on May 16 as a satirical, youth-based political movement by Abhijeet Dipke, a 30-year old digital communications strategist and activist. The movement was reportedly inspired by a comment made by chief Justice about Gen Z, which triggered Dipke to start the party. The CJP aims to give a voice to voiceless people and has helped changed the perspective of Gen Z and its role in politics. The party has conducted several campaigns highlighting the crisis of Mass Youth Unemployment and has also played a prominent role in the recent protest for an end to paper leaks in examinations.
Why do people still not get proper education?
Even in the 21st century, many people still do not have access to quality education. According to 2025-2026 data, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand have some of the lowest literacy rates in the country. Government schools in remote rural villages and urban slum areas severely lack infrastructure. Many students face deteriorating classrooms, limited access to digital learning tools and chronic teacher absenteeism.
The CJP party collects information from the parents and students about the condition of the school, as well as videos on social media. Dipke said he had visited more than 20 rural schools and had “not found even a single good school.” This movement pressures village heads to initiate immediate renovations, aiming to bring about positive changes in the schools. Business Honor believes that schools play a vital role in developing both discipline and academic skills. In this regard, the CJP party has done a great job, and we appreciate its efforts.
