Israel’s rejection of Trump’s Gaza plan is raising fresh tensions with Washington and creating new obstacles to Hamas disarmament and regional diplomacy.

Israel rejects Trump Gaza plan developments are creating fresh uncertainty around diplomatic efforts to reduce the conflict, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would not withdraw its forces from Gaza until Hamas is fully disarmed.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained to his cabinet that Israel refused the 15-article paper supported by Hamas, adding that Israel’s forces will only end their operation after Hamas gives up its arming capability. It was noted that Netanyahu expressed his willingness to negotiate with the U.S. on the issue; however, the two countries still differ on some parts of the proposal.
In addition, Hamas expressed its willingness to implement the proposal and called for mediators and guarantor countries to avoid any violations of the process. This is a great blow to the diplomatic process supported by the US government. President Trump saw the agreement as a significant milestone towards achieving long-term peace and security, with the proposed road map first addressing Hamas’s heavy weapons, weapon production plants and tunnels.
Nevertheless, Netanyahu demanded that more extensive disarmament should be included, such as the disposal of lighter weapons, while reiterating that he will not support the creation of a Palestinian state. There have been growing fears regarding whether the proposed framework can be pursued without proper cooperation among Israel, the United States, and regional mediators.
The process finally aims at transferring the control of Gaza's daily affairs to an Israeli Palestinian technical committee that the American-led Board of Peace oversees. Nevertheless, there are questions regarding how this will work without Israeli cooperation. The Israel-Gaza crisis in 2026 has still raised many humanitarian and political worries, as the operations of the Israeli armed forces and attacks have also been reported in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
These recent updates show how hard it is to implement any diplomatic deal, especially when the parties fail to agree on issues such as security and disarmament. Business Honor believes lasting peace will require enforceable security guarantees, sustained diplomacy and agreement on Gaza’s political future.
