UFORCE Raises $50 Million to Scale Ukraine’s Battlefield-Tested Defense Technologies

$50 million is raised to scale combat-tested defense technologies, expanding drone, naval, and robotic systems for Ukraine and allied militaries.

The Ukrainian defense technology company UFORCE has announced that it has raised $50 million in its first investment round, with the support of the venture capital firms Shield Capital and Lakestar. The investment round also received support from Ballistic Ventures and various investors from Europe. The company defines itself as a “defense technology integrator” that helps Ukrainian defense teams commercialize their innovations and turn them into products for the Ukrainian military and its allies worldwide. Since the start of the full-scale war following the Russian invasion of Ukraine (2022), Ukraine has become one of the world’s key places for the development of new military technologies.

The company's co-founder and CEO, Oleg Roginsky, noted that Ukraine has not only adapted to the new way of war but also rethought the way war is fought. According to him, the company is focused on systems that have been tested in real combat rather than theoretical systems. The company seeks to scale up the systems that have been tested in real combat and provide the systems to the allies facing similar security threats. Ukraine-based company UFORCE is investing in Ukrainian developers and manufacturers of advanced defence systems, which include the Magura unmanned surface vessel, the Nemesis series of multi-rotor-based strike drones, and the R18 bomber drones. It is also investing in ground-based robot systems and drone-based defence systems.

The new funds will be used by UFORCE to grow production, accelerate the pace of new technology development, and strengthen ties with defense customers in allied countries. This investment is a result of increased global interest in "battlefield-tested Ukrainian defence tech startups," “AI-powered military drone systems in Ukraine,” "next-generation unmanned naval warfare systems,” “European venture capital investment in defence tech," and “Ukraine war-tested military technology for NATO allies.” This investment is part of a larger effort, including the Brave1 platform, a defense innovation cluster that aims to attract more than $105 million in funds for Ukrainian defense projects in 2025. At the same time, a Ukrainian startup, Farsight Vision, has raised €7.2 million from European investors with the help of the Brave1 platform.
