Accenture acquired SYSTEMA, a software company that focuses on producing automation, strengthening its presence in the electronics and technology in the manufacturing industry. Accenture's Industry X company focuses on digital engineering and industrial automation, supporting SYSTEMA's ability to combine modern and old manufacturing procedures.
The power of SYSTEMA to improve Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is vital, with the pressure on semiconductor manufacturers especially in Europe, to expand production successfully. Accenture's Industry X team will gain over 240 SYSTEMA experts, strengthening its capacity for helping customers in the semiconductor, automotive, food and beverage, aerospace, and specialized chemical industries. Region's chairman of Industry X, Sarat Maitin, highlighted the importance of the acquisition by saying, "This is a lot more than merging technology." With the aim to support manufacturers worldwide to stay successful.
Manfred Austen, CEO of SYSTEMA, stated that, "By using AI, data, and technology on a wider scale, collaborating with Accenture allows us to provide more value." This acquisition reflects a future where AI-powered automation is used in manufacturing processes to combine both old and new technology. Manufacturers will soon meet the increasing demands while supporting environmentally friendly practices and resilience as technologies like digital twins, machine learning, and automated production grow. Establishing the standard for the next level of technological advancement worldwide.
