Sungrow’s PowerTitan 3.0 delivers modular, high-efficiency energy storage with smart grid support and rapid deployment capabilities.
Sungrow, the world leader in inverter and energy storage technologies, has unveiled the PowerTitan 3.0 platform, specifically crafted to meet the changing requirements of utility-scale energy storage in the transition to clean energy. The new system features notable improvements in storage capacity, efficiency, and flexibility and represents a significant breakthrough in utility-scale energy storage products.
Essentially, PowerTitan 3.0 offers a scalable and modular architecture that permits adaptable deployment to different project requirements.Coming in the sizes of Flex (3.45 MWh), Class (6.9 MWh), and Plus (12.5 MWh) the system accommodates storage times ranging between two and twelve hours, with consistent performance in assorted environmental conditions ranging from -40°C to +55°C and a maximum altitude of 5,000 meters.
With 450 kW per unit, 99.3% peak efficiency, and 93.5% round-trip efficiency, PowerTitan 3.0 boasts the largest commercial deployment of a Liquid-Cooled Silicon Carbide Power Conversion System in the industry. This storage platform is one of the most energy-efficient available, allowing it to function at maximum efficiency even in extremely hot or cold temperatures.
In addition to its technical prowess, the system is pre-installed, pre-tested, and factory-integrated, significantly reducing setup times by as much as 17 days for a 1 GWh project. Enhanced by intelligent software tools like PowerDoctor for predictive maintenance and PowerBidder for market trading, PowerTitan 3.0 delivers both operational reliability and financial performance.
With grid-forming technology enabled black-starts and ultra-fast grid response, Sungrow's PowerTitan 3.0 is redefining the benchmark for robust, smart, and flexible energy storage to assist utilities and developers to deploy clean energy quicker and more effectively around the world.
