Bacoor City adopts IvedaAI forensics and CCTV network to improve security and response.
A world leader in AI-powered video surveillance and smart city technologies, Iveda® announced the successful deployment of its IvedaAITM platform throughout Bacoor City's CCTV network and the establishment of the Bacoor City Police Station's first IvedaAITM Forensics Desk in the Philippines. The project is the second major application of Iveda Philippines' larger $3 million smart-city program, which aims to update metropolitan Manila and beyond. It was completed working together with the trustworthy local systems integrator in Bacoor.
Nearly 700,000 people live in Bacoor, Cavite's second-largest city, which is situated immediately south of Metro Manila. The city's municipal government is among the wealthiest in the region. It has made significant investments in infrastructure and public safety. Officials may now swiftly identify and address serious occurrences by combining Bacoor's extensive CCTV network with IvedaAI's real-time analytics. Additionally, the new IvedaAI Forensics Desk allows local police to quickly estimate citizen-provided footage from mobile phones, SD cards, and flash drives, which turns hours of manual analysis into seconds of useful information.
David Ly, CEO and founder of Iveda, stated that achieving city-wide adoption demands patience and collaboration, yet progress is consistently gaining momentum. David also noted that their smart city contracts in metro Manila are expanding, with municipalities throughout the capital region adopting AI as a natural progression for enhancing public safety in each neighborhood, or ‘Barangay.’ Given that there are over 42,000 barangays across the Philippines, each with its own police unit; IvedaAI for CCTV combined with the Forensics Desk for each police unit represents a scalable and effective solution.
The IvedaAI Forensics Desk has been presented to local governments in the Philippines since its debut last summer. Iveda Philippines is on track to reach its revenue goal of $3 million by FY 2026 because to these continuous investments.
