Red Hat’s cloud-optimized RHEL 10 boosts performance, security, and scalability across major cloud platforms.
Red Hat has made available cloud-optimized Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10 images, co-engineered and backed on the major public clouds—Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. These optimized offerings are hyperscaler-specific and designed for hyperscaler environments and offer enterprises pre-optimized, ready-to-use Linux images that streamline workload migration and cloud management.
The latest RHEL 10 images are pre-configured to provide optimal performance and consistency between reboots, so that users can make changes to subsystems without affecting operations. With the use of container-native tooling, RHEL provides an "image mode" for deployment as bootable container images. This helps simplify cloud-native app development and IT operations into one end-to-end pipeline, speeding delivery and minimizing configuration drift.
Red Hat integrated telemetry improves observability and reporting, providing end-to-end insights into Linux environments as well as other cloud services in each cloud provider's management dashboard. From a security perspective, these images include sophisticated protections from boot through runtime, such as image attestation, Secure Boot, Confidential Computing, and Confidential Hypervisor technologies, enabling a strong security posture specifically designed for the cloud.
Organizations can utilize their current Red Hat subscriptions to transition workloads or take advantage of pay-as-you-go options available on the AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure marketplaces. These products also are eligible for committed spend programs, offering flexible purchase avenues.
Red Hat and its cloud partners' executives pointed out the way this partnership speeds digital transformation by providing an enterprise-ready Linux platform tuned specifically for the unique environment of each cloud. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure enables organizations to develop faster, scale better, and have seamless operations across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This is a major milestone towards making cloud adoption easy and advancing the enterprise Linux space.
