2025 Volkswagen T-Roc R Wolfsburg Edition: Limited-Edition Performance SUV Turns Up the Noise

Volkswagen T-Roc R Wolfsburg Edition features sportier design and enhanced exhaust system.

Volkswagen has launched an outstanding new special edition of its 2025 T-Roc R hot SUV – the Wolfsburg Edition, a model in an Australian run of only 200 units. Priced at $69,290 plus on-road charges, this special edition comes with distinctive design touches and a premium Akrapovi exhaust system, providing an even more emotional driving experience.

It boasts a striking Indium Grey matte paint finish with dark grey 19-inch 'Pretoria' wheels, while the black highlights include roof rails, mirror caps, window trim, and front air intake trim. In addition, it features carbon-fibre-look rear window pillars and gloss black interior finishes adding an extra touch of sophistication.

A prime feature of this special edition is the presence of the titanium Akrapovi

exhaust system. So far, this feature was available on very few models. It included, for instance, the 2018 Golf R Special Edition. The promise from this exhaust system is loud, more intense performance. As such, this stands out among all T-Roc R variations.

In spite of the upgraded features, the 2025 T-Roc R Wolfsburg Edition still uses the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the regular model. The engine produces 221kW and 400Nm of torque, combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. The outcome is excellent acceleration, with a claimed 0-100km/h time of only 4.9 seconds.

Volkswagen has said that when all 200 units of the Wolfsburg Edition have been sold, the model won't be continued. This is the conclusion to the current generation T-Roc R, with the normal T-Roc to be replaced by a new generation later this year. Whether a second generation of the T-Roc R will be made remains to be seen.
