Contentserv acquisition enhances Centric Software’s offerings for product content and consumer engagement.
Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: DSY.PA) has announced that its subsidiary Centric Software will acquire Contentserv, a leading provider of product experience management (PXM) and product information management (PIM) solutions, for €220 million. The acquisition will enable Centric Software to enhance its offerings for brands, manufacturers, and retailers looking to optimize their digital product content and accelerate time-to-market.
Founded in Germany in 2000, Contentserv has transformed product content management with its AI-powered Product Experience Cloud (PXC). Its platform allows businesses to create, manage, and syndicate product content across multiple digital channels, providing retailers, brands, and manufacturers with a seamless way to improve customer engagement. With over 1,600 customers in 90 countries, Contentserv’s solutions have resulted in significant operational benefits, including a 30% reduction in time-to-market and 70% faster catalog creation.
By integrating Contentserv’s capabilities, Centric Software aims to streamline the product lifecycle from ideation to commercialization. This move is particularly valuable as businesses in industries like fashion, FMCG, and consumer goods face constant market shifts and evolving consumer expectations. With more digital touchpoints, including e-commerce platforms, social media, and marketplaces, companies must quickly adapt and offer personalized, accurate, and engaging product experiences.
Chris Groves, CEO of Centric Software, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, highlighting how the combined capabilities will drive product innovation and faster go-to-market strategies. "Together with Contentserv, we will provide wide-ranging solutions that empower brands to deliver enriched, market-ready experiences from day one," Groves said.
Contentserv’s CEO, Michael Kugler, shared his excitement, noting that the integration of their AI-powered platform with Centric Software’s solutions will help brands and retailers stay competitive in today’s fast-moving digital landscape.
The transaction is expected to close soon, subject to regulatory approvals.
