GSB appoints Hugh Johnson as COO to drive global growth and enhance client-focused solutions.
Global wealth management group GSB has appointed Hugh Johnson as its new Chief Operating Officer, based in the company's London office. The appointment is part of GSB's strategy to support its expansion and growth across its global operations.
Hugh Johnson has extensive experience, having held senior leadership positions at The Fry Group and Sanlam, a global financial services company. He was the global head of operations at The Fry Group, where he oversaw the operations of the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia and played a key role in integrating multi-service, multi-jurisdiction offerings.
Johnson, from Sanlam, served as a head of proposition in the Wealth division at Sanlam, where he was involved in developing and delivering propositions for clients that integrate proposition with technology, process automation, and systems to enhance the client experience. He has led several projects which are based around evolving technology and improving operational processes, which complements GSB's vision of growth and innovation.
Commenting on Hugh's appointment as founding partner, Ross Whatnall of GSB said: "We are delighted to welcome Hugh to the GSB team. The most recent of these appointments is Johnson, who was hired after GSB recently welcomed late last year Paul Waterman and Craig Holding into GSB's Wealth division in Dubai. GSB operates through its three core divisions: GSB Wealth, GSB Private, and GSB Capital, offering complete services in wealth management and financial solutions within many regions worldwide.
