Chief Operating Officer Tony Drew joins GME Supply to lead operational strategy, drive acquisition integration, and accelerate digital-first distribution platform expansion.
Safety and productivity equipment distributor GME Supply announced the appointment of Tony Drew as Chief Operating Officer, a strategic leadership addition designed to support the company's operational scaling, capability expansion, and acquisition integration initiatives. Drew will report directly to CEO Ryan Keogh and assume responsibility for leading GME's operational strategy as the company continues its growth trajectory through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.
With the GME Supply executive appointment, Drew brings extensive distribution industry experience spanning more than 25 years across multiple sector-leading organizations. Most recently, he served as Chief Transformation Officer at HD Supply for two years, where he managed large-scale operational initiatives. His previous roles include a decade-long tenure at The Home Depot, nearly eight years at restoration and disaster recovery company BELFOR, and six years at industrial distributor McMaster-Carr, providing comprehensive expertise in operations management, organizational transformation, and acquisition integration within large distribution businesses.
CEO Ryan Keogh emphasized the critical importance of executive talent alignment with organizational growth velocity. "As our business has continued to expand, so has the scale and complexity of what we do every day," Keogh stated in a news release, citing facility additions, product offering expansion, and digital tool enhancements as evidence of rapid scaling requiring corresponding leadership structure evolution.
GME Supply's recent acquisition activity includes the September 2025 addition of Wayne Enterprises based in Houston, representing the company's continued market consolidation strategy. The distributor's product portfolio encompasses fall protection equipment, personal protective equipment and work wear, lifting and rigging apparatus, rope and rescue equipment, first aid supplies, tools, storage solutions, and testing devices. Keogh transitioned to the President and CEO position January 1, succeeding Caleb Messer, who assumed the Executive Chairman role. The leadership restructuring reflects GME's commitment to maintaining operational excellence during accelerated growth phases.
Business Honor is of the view that Tony Drew's appointment as Chief Operating Officer represents a strategic change in GME Supply's operational execution and acquisition integration capabilities.
