Sedgwick has finalized the significant transition of leadership within its Australian leadership restructure having appointed Kimberley Daley as Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Simon Kay as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective from 06 May 2026. These appointments represent the end of the interim leadership phase and will help both executives to continue leading the businesses’ expansion in the Asia Pacific region.
Kimberley Daley’s appointment to the position of COO is a reflection of her extensive experience with the global claims management company. As an executive with more than 14 years’ experience with Sedgwick in Australia, she has built significant operational and financial knowledge over this time. With her most recent position being the Executive General Manager for Professional Services since 2021, and previously the Head of the Forensic Accounting Services Division where she managed essential responsibilities associated with complex claims management and client support across various industries.
What Experience Does Kimberley Daley Bring to Sedgwick’s COO Role?
As COO, Kimberley Daley will be responsible for managing the company on a day-to-day basis, which includes resource allocation, service delivery throughout the entire Australian platform. She will also be responsible for all the company’s loss adjusting services and related professional services as well as managing the coordination of the three technical disciplines: forensic accounting, major loss management and complex loss management. Based on this broad area of responsibility, she will be able to implement improvements in operational productivity and efficiency across the expanding Australian operations of Sedgwick.

Simon Kay's appointment as the new CEO of Sedgwick reflects his extensive expertise in loss adjusting throughout many global jurisdictions. Kay began with Sedgwick’s Australian division as the COO in November, following his time as Sedgwick's Acting COO of its Australian division from November until its CEO appointment. Prior to returning to his home country of Australia, Kay was the Director, Executive Services for the United Kingdom & International regions providing operational leadership support to Sedgwick's client facing operations across Asia.
What Will Simon Kay Oversee as CEO of Sedgwick Australia?
Kay is an accomplished loss adjuster, with over 30 years of professional experience that includes successfully leading large property & complex loss teams, managing very close relationships with major corporate clients, completing large-scale corporate instructions, and building and developing strategic partnerships with a broad range of key stakeholders in a diverse amount of industries. As the CEO, Kay will be responsible for leading Sedgwick's entire Australian operation including the setting of the corporation’s long-term strategic guidance as well as its future operational performance.
