Oracle enhances its cloud applications with AT&T IoT connectivity, offering real-time communications and simplified network management.
Oracle announced a significant upgrade to its Enterprise Communications Platform (ECP) by incorporating AT&T's IoT connectivity and network APIs. This integration is designed to streamline the management of IoT devices and network connectivity within Oracle’s industry cloud applications.
The collaboration allows Oracle’s customers to leverage AT&T’s IoT edge application management and network capabilities through a unified platform, reducing the complexity of managing separate integrations and network contracts. This advancement supports real-time data intelligence and connectivity, crucial for developing new services and enhancing user experiences.
Sarita Rao, senior vice president of AT&T partner solutions, emphasized the benefits of this integration, stating, “By teaming with Oracle, we are providing businesses with a more integrated network and application experience, driving performance and reliability gains while simplifying the contracting process.”
The enhanced ECP, supported by AT&T and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), is available across OCI regions in the U.S. and aims to support a range of new industry applications—from automated utility grid management to advanced telehealth solutions. Andrew Morawski, executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Communications, highlighted the transformative potential of 5G, stating, “Together, we can help organizations benefit from the full potential of 5G, fostering innovation across various sectors.”
