The goal of Bionorica's migration to SAP S/4HANA aims to strengthen its capabilities and optimize its operations
Global producer of herbal medications Bionorica has effectively upgraded from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA with the help of SNP. The migration, which involved a complex overhaul of Bionorica’s ERP landscape, was completed in just 14 months with minimal downtime of less than 48 hours.
Headquartered in Neumarkt, Germany, Bionorica operates across over ten countries, with approximately 1,200 of its 1,800 employees utilizing SAP software. The company’s products reach over 40 countries, bolstering its reputation in scientifically researched herbal medicine. The goal of Bionorica's migration to SAP S/4HANA aims to strengthen its capabilities and optimize its operations. Traditionally, such a migration would require multiple projects. However, Bionorica partnered with SNP to execute the transition in a single step. Leveraging SNP’s CrystalBridge Transformation platform and BLUEFIELD migration approach, the company efficiently managed parallel processing of tasks. This automation minimized manual intervention, facilitated quick adaptation to new accounting processes, and ensured compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations.
SNP’s predefined best practices and automated tools addressed complex issues swiftly, allowing Bionorica to complete the transition without the need for subprojects. Christian Kunzelmann, Head of IT at Bionorica SE, emphasized the smooth transition and readiness for future digital transformation initiatives. The successful upgrade positions Bionorica to optimize business processes, respond agilely to market demands, and stay aligned with technological advancements.
