In an important step in its mission to promote clean technology innovation and enhance transatlantic cooperation, EIT InnoEnergy has chosen Ryan Dings as its first CEO for the U.S. market. With fifteen years of experience from roles such as CEO of ClimateHaven and COO of Greentown Labs, Dings is a valuable addition to EIT InnoEnergy. His appointment highlights EIT InnoEnergy’s dedication to advancing various U.S. initiatives to achieve net-zero mission and supporting industrial progress.
Dings, based in Boston, will lead EIT InnoEnergy's U.S. expansion efforts by focusing on investments in sectors such as battery storage, green hydrogen, and solar PV. Innovation Director of EIT InnoEnergy, Elena Bou, emphasized the significance of this appointment in fostering ties between European and US markets. This appointment comes alongside EIT InnoEnergy’s recent major projects, including a €140 million funding round and plans to host a ‘Transatlantic Cleantech Summit’ in September. The event aims to bring together business leaders, policymakers, and investors to foster collaboration and innovation across continents. Highlighting the potential for a mutual partnership with Europe and the United States to address climate challenges and drive economic growth through clean technology, Dings expressed enthusiasm for his new role.
Dings’ leadership is expected to drive EIT InnoEnergy towards its goal of creating a global cleantech revolution, creating major changes in technology on both sides of the Atlantic.
