In court documents obtained by USA TODAY, Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed for a divorce against his wife Bunnie XO, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, on May 18. It has since become one of the hottest celebrity topics as fans have been caught off guard considering the couple’s latest joint appearance.
Jelly Roll’s divorce follows months after the country artist made an emotional acknowledgment to his wife, thanking her for being there throughout thick and thin in his acceptance speech as the winner of the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Country Album in February.
Throughout the years, the couple had shared both the good and bad times they've been through as a couple. In a podcast interview in the year 2025, Jelly Roll confessed he had cheated on his wife once. He said it was probably one of the hardest times of his life, but fortunately, the two have worked really hard on improving their relationship.
