IoT Tech Expo North America Highlights Connected Device Security in AI Era

Finite State CEO Matt Wyckhouse will lead a major cybersecurity panel at IoT Tech Expo North America focused on securing connected devices, industrial systems, and AI-driven technologies.

IoT Tech Expo Focuses on Embedded Security for Connected Devices

Finite State has announced that Founder and CEO Matt Wyckhouse will lead an expert panel called "Designing Connected Devices with Security Built In" at the upcoming IoT Tech Expo North America in San Jose, California. The event will be held on May 19, 2026, and will feature top executives from Boeing, SmartTech Research, and EVRaid who will address cybersecurity issues related to connected systems and AI-driven technologies.

The IoT Tech Expo is one of the biggest conferences on Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, edge computing, and digital transformation. The discussions at the event will revolve around the way security could be improved amid the increasing adoption of AI and emerging global regulations.

As noted by Wyckhouse, the role of connected devices in today's infrastructure, healthcare, transport, enterprises, and consumer technology is crucial. At the same time, he stressed that security cannot be considered a process performed at a later stage and should become an integral part of the operation process.

IoT Tech Expo Highlights Compliance and AI Cybersecurity Challenges

The IoT Tech Expo panel will cover essential cybersecurity measures such as ensuring security by design, using secure boot mechanisms, hardware root of trust, encryption measures, and resilience from continuous threat monitoring.

At the conference, the team at Finite State will demonstrate their Product Security OS platform. Among other features, the platform includes unified product intelligence, vulnerability prioritization based on exploitability, automated compliance reporting, and traceability solutions to help manufacturers secure their connected devices.

Finite State mentioned that cybersecurity regulations, such as the upcoming European Union Cyber Resilience Act, were adding pressure to device makers to respond quickly to incidents and ensure compliance. Finite State also highlighted that medical technologies, automotive systems, industrial manufacturing companies, and consumer IoT companies were looking for automation in security and compliance.

Business Honor sees IoT Tech Expo North America as further evidence of how cybersecurity, AI, and connected-device management are coming together as enterprises come under increasing pressure to ensure cybersecurity and compliance with global technology regulations.
