Jen Easterly has been appointed as the new CEO of RSA Conference (RSAC), a new era for the organization, with her vision clearly set on taking the company in a new direction. Having a wealth of experience in national security, cyber operations and private sector management, Easterly provides a solid foundation for leading RSAC through this critical time when the two fields of cyber security and artificial intelligence are coming together at an accelerated rate. Easterly will also be tasked with overseeing RSAC's entire global portfolio including its flagship San Francisco conference, international programming and initiatives for promoting innovation and career advancement opportunities. The challenges and opportunities presented by the technological convergence of Cybersecurity and AI, presents an exciting time to be leading the Technology Industry.

Easterly's appointment to the RSAC as its new CEO allows her to leverage her extensive background, including her role as Director of the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and senior leadership roles with the National Security Agency (NSA), to create significant change in the organization. Easterly sees the RSAC expanding beyond just traditional conference management; she sees it as an important, global venue for collaboration on cybersecurity efforts. "This is the moment where AI and cybersecurity are conjoined," she said, adding that the RSAC should strategically connect thought leaders, technologies and innovative ideas to protect digital infrastructure.

AG Greg Clark, RSAC board member and former CEO of Symantec, recognized Easterly's unique breadth of leadership experience across numerous sectors, and expressed enthusiasm over her appointment. Additionally, Dr. Hugh Thompson, Chair of the RSAC, conveyed excitement for the upcoming 35th Annual RSAC Conference to be the largest and most successful in history.
