Two years ago, the Green Bay Packers started their unforeseen path to the Postseason by beating the Detroit Lions in a thrilling Thanksgiving Day matchup on the road at Ford Field with an overall score of 29 - 22. The Lions were wearing their Sci-tech retro uniform combination during the game but since neither team was able to have a Thanksgiving Day win and because the Lions are again going to wear their throwback uniform combination, it will create a similarity to the 2023 Thanksgiving Day game since it will look very similar to last year. On Monday, the Lions via their official Twitter account, confirmed that the throwback uniform was making a return for this year's game stating, "Bringing Back the Classics for Thanksgiving," and fans are excited.

The "Throwback" leadership uniform includes a silver helmet that does not include a logo, as well as the Lions' blue jersey with silver lettering and numbers and silver pants. The Packers will wear their traditional outfit of gold helmets, white jerseys and gold pants, but one thing that is destined to catch the eye of the fans this season is that this year they will wear solid white socks to complement their uniforms. The only two times in 2023 that they wore their classic 'road' uniform were against the Arizona Cardinals in week 7 and week 10. While Thanksgiving approaches and everyone anticipates a great matchup between these two teams, there will be more than enough curiosity regarding the strategy and style of play that both teams will exhibit, along with their classic uniforms.

Coach Matt LaFleur will release the final details of the uniforms prior to the game creating even greater excitement during this Thanksgiving matchup between these two eternal rivals.
