YEIDA and MEJ partner to develop a Japanese medical device center that improves manufacturing and exports along with healthcare innovation.
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) plans to partner with Medical Excellence Japan (MEJ) to develop a Japanese medical device manufacturing center near the Noida International Airport. Soon the team will sign an agreement with MEJ in the form of an MoU. After a senior MEJ official visited YEIDA's office to talk about future investment possibilities in the new Medical Devices Park at Sector 29, close to the airport. The group met with Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Shailendra Bhatia and YEIDA CEO RK Singh to conclude the partnership's conditions.
RK Singh stated, "This partnership with MEJ is transformative for the Medical Devices Park and the 'Make in India' program." "It will promote innovation in India and support the establishment of a strong healthcare manufacturing ecosystem." By introducing modern Japanese technology and knowledge to India, the MoU aims to allow Indian businesses to manufacture excellent medical devices. In addition, it will allow the creation of new export paths, especially to the Japanese healthcare sector.
At least seven Japanese companies are expected to begin operations at the park after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, according to officials. With a focus on R&D and manufacturing, the partnership will also support joint ventures between Indian and Japanese businesses. Next month is expected to see the signing, that will be followed by site visits and business discussions between Indian and Japanese companies. With this worldwide partnership, YEIDA's Medical Devices Park is expected to develop into an important center for production and research, improving India's position in the worldwide medical technology market and advancing its goal of being a leader in the development of next-generation healthcare products.
