Salesforce and OpenAI unite to bring powerful AI-driven CRM, sales, and commerce tools to businesses.
Together, Salesforce and OpenAI will provide businesses with strong CRM that is powered by AI sales and commerce solutions. In order to take part more powerful AI capabilities into routine company processes, Salesforce and OpenAI have strengthened their teamwork. The partnership would allow ChatGPT and other OpenAI models to operate directly with Salesforce's Agentforce 360 platform, facilitating user access to sales data, customer chats, and Tableau visualizations through natural language queries.
Soon, users will have direct access to Agentforce 360 in ChatGPT by allowing them to generate reports or pose inquiries on customer records in a dialogue-style format. Some combinations, such as ChatGPT and Codex within Slack are already operational, but complete availability information are expected in the upcoming months. These tools can summarize chats, create content and even help with coding tasks.
Salesforce is also participating OpenAI’s newest models, including GPT-5, into its own platform. This means businesses will be able to create intelligent agents and build workflows that respond in real time. The models will be part of features like the Atlas Reasoning Engine and Prompt Builder, offering advanced voice, reasoning, and multimodal capabilities.
A major highlight of the partnership is the new Agentforce Commerce experience. Businesses will be able to list products in ChatGPT and sell directly to millions of U.S. workers using “Instant Checkout,” powered by Stripe. Importantly, Salesforce says this process is privacy-safe and gives merchants full control over customer relationships.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff described the action as a step toward building "Agentic Enterprises" in which businesses that pay AI to make quicker, more intelligent decisions. The objective, according to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, is to make daily tasks more intuitive and integrated. This teamwork's overall goal is to assimilate AI more deeply into workplace technologies, simplifying work and facilitating quicker and simpler decision making which is driven by data.
