Proximity Media appoints their new CMO and COO, named Terra Potts, in order to support marketing activities and global market expansion.
Proximity Media appoints their new CMO and COO, named Terra Potts, an experienced marketing executive, as the business grows into film, TV, audio, and reality content. In the new position, Potts will be an experienced marketing executive, also leading Proximity's communication and marketing activities.
Over the past year, Potts worked closely with Proximity as an advisor, helping greatly to Sinners' success, which brought in $365 million worldwide. In addition, she also worked on upcoming projects like Eyes of Wakanda and National Geographic's Hurricane Katrina: A Race Against Time.
Potts served for Warner Bros. Pictures for more than ten years, reaching a position of Executive Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, before joining Proximity. She managed marketing activities for popular movies there, like Creed, Judas and the Black Messiah, Crazy Rich Asians, Elvis, and several DC and Conjuring series releases.
Working on Oscar-nominated movies like Crash and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Potts began her career with awards strategist Lisa Taback. With the appointment, Proximity aims to improve their operations, along with creative scope expansion and brand strengthening. Her in-depth industry knowledge and experienced leadership abilities are important for the business. Potts' leadership is expected in supporting Proximity to manage new international markets and forms, new projects, and modern storytelling technologies.
