Hcor accelerates clinical trials using Oracle’s cloud technology, enhancing efficiency, security, and innovation.
Brazilian research giant Hcor is transforming how it runs clinical trials using Oracle's advanced technology. The powerful hospital and research center is using Oracle Clinical One Data Collection to build and host its own key phase 3 immunology studies independently—without the use of third-party companies and significantly slashing complexity, cost, and timelines. Formerly reliant on third-party vendors for study building, Hcor now enjoys Oracle's user-friendly, cloud-based platform that provides quicker, real-time study building and mid-study modifications without sacrificing quality. Powered by the secure and scalable Oracle cloud infrastructure, clinical one is one of the strong capabilities in Oracle's full suite of life sciences solutions aimed at driving healthcare innovation faster.
"With Oracle Clinical One Data Collection, we have developed two significant immunology trials on our own with the solid and trusted platform of Oracle," said Tamiris Abait Miranda, manager of Hcor's research institute. "This enables us to speed up potentially life-altering clinical trials." Oracle's platform is also named a leader in electronic data capture by the PEAK Matrix of Everest Group for its groundbreaking architecture as well as flexibility. Through offering full ownership of the study lifecycle to researchers, Oracle allows organizations like Hcor to carry out clinical trials more efficiently and precisely.
Besides, Hcor has implemented Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer, which has improved its IT performance by 20%. Its development teams now deploy healthcare applications five times more quickly, shortening delivery from five months to one. The solution has also enhanced security, reduced backlogs of projects, and increased the capacity of the organization to deliver innovative healthcare projects. "Oracle is reimagining clinical research by integrating AI, cloud, and patient-focused solutions," said Seema Verma, EVP, Oracle Health and Life Sciences.
