NVIDIA and Eaton partner to create an advanced HVDC system that supports AI data centers and efficient digital twin technology.
NVIDIA and Eaton, an expert in smart power management, partner to improve the power network for advanced AI data centers. They need to grow solid and efficient power sources as AI workloads get increasingly complex. Eaton is developing high-voltage direct current (HVDC) system that supports Rubin Ultra GPUs and NVIDIA's Kyber rack-scale solutions.
The goal of this partnership is to offer flexible power solutions, technical guidelines, and reliable designs that can support dense GPU systems. The creation of 800V HVDC infrastructure, which can handle racks with more than 1 megawatt of power, is one major advancement to help data centers meet the high standards of AI inference and learning.
In addition, Eaton and NVIDIA have partnered on the NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint, an application that allows businesses to build and operate AI workplaces efficiently using digital twin technology. Businesses are quickly improving their facilities as worldwide data center investments are expected to surpass $1 trillion by 2029. Eaton offers innovative approaches that cover the entire power chain, from the electrical system to the chip level, by relying on its extensive expertise in power systems.
"By partnering with NVIDIA and other partners, we have the ability to offer power, cooling, and operational services built for future AI infrastructures," stated Heath Monesmith, President and COO of Eaton's Electrical Sector. Modern distribution of electricity units, backup power systems, digital control tools, and consulting services are all part of Eaton's "grid-to-chip" approach. These approaches make data center operations simpler and improve energy usage and dependability.
Eaton is dedicated to improving individual’s quality of life and sustainability. It serves to a wide range of fields, including home markets, infrastructure, and aerospace. Eaton is an important partner in advancing AI as its technology handles important issues in digital transformation.
