Schneider Electric introduces smart power solutions in India to improve infrastructure flexibility and reliability.
Schneider Electric has discovered a set of new automatic transfer switch solutions aimed at improving power resilience as part of the important step taken toward smart infrastructure. These technologies are designed to make sure that there is continuous power supply by naturally switching to emergency sources such as generators or batteries when the primary source fails. This capability is essential for serious facilities like healthcare, data centers and industrial operations where even short period of power cut can lead to important disruption and financial loss.
The new offerings include the Acti9 Incoming Automatic Transfer Switch Kit, which brings intelligent transfer capabilities to Schneider Electric’s Acti9 distribution boards up to 125A. Designed for easy integration, the bolt-on kit includes sensing, monitoring, and control logic for fast, automatic power switching.
Also launched is the ASCO Single Way Bypass Transfer Switch, offering a single-way bypass configuration that allows maintenance without power interruption. With current capacity from 32A to 400A and protection ratings up to IP55, it is built for consistency in diverse environments, including serious firefighting applications.
The TransferPacT range has been expanded to support loads from 32A to 1600A, featuring smart switching in as little as 500ms. Its modular design allows future-ready upgrades, including remote control, load shedding, and generator coordination.
According to David Williams, VP of transactional business at Schneider Electric, rising energy demands are putting pressure on infrastructure. “Few organizations can afford power disruption. Our smart transfer switch solutions offer fast, reliable switching to backup sources by confirming continuity and peace of mind.”
