David Emerson Appointed COO to Lead Wolfspeed’s Operational Growth

David Emerson becomes Wolfspeed’s first COO, aiming to boost efficiency and manufacturing leadership globally.

Wolfspeed, a business famous for its modern silicon carbide technology, has named Dr. David Emerson as its first COO. Dr. Emerson will oversee the company's operations, supply chain, and quality divisions in this new position. He will also assist Wolfspeed in managing its 200-millimeter manufacturing facilities and improving the speed at which it can deliver goods.

Dr. Emerson is returning to Wolfspeed after leading the company's LED Products segment. He contributes years of expertise in overseeing intricate and sizable enterprises globally. In his early years with the company, when it was still known as Cree, he was important in resolving trade and competition concerns and raising the expansion of the enterprise.

Wolfspeed CEO Robert Feurle said he is excited to have Dr. Emerson back. He thinks Wolfspeed's goal of becoming the industry leader in silicon carbide will be aided by his experience in reorganization processes and producing high-quality goods.
