Jindal Green Wind Places Third 204.75 MW Order with Suzlon.

Suzlon secures the largest C&I order from Jindal Green Wind for sustainable steel production.

Suzlon Group is a major worldwide provider of renewable energy solutions that is changing and redefining the worldwide use of sustainable energy sources. With operations in 17 nations in Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas, Suzlon utilizes its strong renewable energy system skills to fuel a more environmentally friendly future.

On March 3rd, 2025, Suzlon announced that Jindal Green Wind 1, a division of Jindal Renewables, has placed a third order for 204.75 MW. With a combined capacity of 907.20 MW, this cooperation is also now Suzlon's largest Commercial & Industrial (C&I) order. Suzlon previously obtained two contracts to supply 702.45 MW of wind energy to Jindal Steel's operations in Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Currently, 59% of Suzlon's overall order book, which has now reached a record 5.9 GW (the biggest in the company's history), comes from C&I (Commercial and Industrial) customers.

Suzlon will provide 65 new S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with hybrid lattice towers (HLT) in this new deal; each is rated at a capacity of 3.15 MW. In order to improve their operational sustainability and support India's green energy transition, the energy produced will be used for captive consumption at steel factories in Chhattisgarh and Odisha.

"This third order with Suzlon clearly demonstrates our commitment to sustainable practices and reinforces our vision of becoming the largest provider of decarbonization solutions," said Bharat Saxena, President of Jindal Renewables.

The company is expanding the low CO₂ steel movement to Tamil Nadu after building their initial success in Karnataka, said Girish Tanti, vice chairman of Suzlon Group. The order will be performed in the Karur region of Tamil Nadu.
