NetSuite unveils integrated AI tools and XaaS ERP to boost efficiency and support growing small businesses.

During a briefing here at the Suite Connect 2025 event on Thursday, Evan Goldberg, the founder and senior vice president of Oracle NetSuite, said the new AI capabilities are meant to help users accomplish tasks more efficiently and effectively. Goldberg asserts that having fully integrated AI capabilities into a suite, as opposed to adding them as an add-on, is the key to successful AI capabilities in business apps.

The NetSuite CPQ AI Assistant enables buyers and sellers to configure product quotes through natural language chat; the Prompt Management API simplifies AI integrations and customizations by centrally managing prompts used in large language models in NetSuite; Text Enhance enables faster and more accurate data entry in custom text fields; and NetSuite Expert for Suite Answers provides guidance in natural language.

He claims that the XaaS ERP strategy is aimed at younger entrepreneurs who don't follow the conventional business models of previous generations, such as wholesaler, retailer, distributor, manufacturer, or internet service provider.  AI features and the XaaS Edition are now free of charge in the latest edition of NetSuite ERP. Small and medium-sized enterprises are the primary target of the NetSuite cloud ERP platform, which is a group of interconnected business apps. ERP, finance and accounting, CRM, field service management, human capital management, professional services automation, and numerous other business software programs are among the applications that are covered.

He claims that NetSuite stands out from the competition thanks to the XaaS Edition, which might also benefit its SMB clients. They are trying to reach expanding companies that provide hybrid products and services and must adhere to a number of accounting regulations, so it would be helpful. Sommer stated that the company has consolidated everything into a single, highly integrated system, emphasizing the value in that approach. He added that it's almost surprising other companies haven't adopted a similar strategy.
