Logitech launches Extend, a simple BYOD solution for seamless device connection in Android and BYOD-enabled meeting rooms.

Logitech has unveiled Extend, a new, simple BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) solution for Android-based and BYOD-enabled meeting rooms. This product enables users to easily connect their personal devices, either laptops or mobile phones, to in-room video conferencing systems using only a USB-C cable. Extend offers an easy, one-cable solution for starting meetings and sharing content, making it the ideal tool for employees and visitors who need to join a meeting without any hassle.

Logitech Extend eliminates the problems of the platform compatibility, adapters, and extra downloads of software. Whether it's a Zoom Room, Microsoft Teams Room on Android, or Google Meet setup, Extend lets an individual temporarily bypasses the designated video conferencing provider, making it a versatile tool for a wide range of platforms. The solution enables quick connection to video systems, streamlines the meeting setup process, and ensures a smooth user experience.

This solution promises to make meeting rooms more efficient both for employees and visitors-they can enter the room and directly connect any devices, start a presentation share, or place a video call with no technological holdups. Extend offers the same convenience and flexibility for those workspaces working with Android or BYOD-based systems.

Extend is also committed to sustainability from Logitech's perspective: 40% or more post-consumer recycled plastic is used. This also keeps in line with the DfS design philosophy of the company. As of now, the company has enlarged its video collaboration product portfolio both in functionality as well as for environmental sustainability for businesses that get innovative solutions coupled with sustainable action.
