Dacia's Bigster redefines the C-SUV market with striking design and exceptional value at £29,000
Dacia has unveiled its Bigster, the brand's largest model to date. It is a looker at a price that will allow it to get at a competitive C-segment market. Bigster is its C-SUV name and will have a £29,000 starting price next year, cutting through the Skoda Kodiaq, Peugeot 5008, and Ford Kuga, among others.
Featuring rugged aesthetics in design, the Bigster comes out with a bold exterior sporting protruding wheel arches, sharp LED headlights, and 19-inch alloy wheels in continuation of the 2021 concept. It comes in a number of electrified powertrains based on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi CMF-B platform. The top-of-the-line Hybrid 155 model couples a 107bhp petrol engine to two electric motors for a total output of 153bhp - a sufficiently big number to let it drive on pure EV up to 80%:.
Inside, Bigster emphasizes space and comfort with a high-mounted dash featuring a 10.1-inch touchscreen which supports smartphone mirroring. And with 667 litres of boot space, nothing beats this model in its class.
With Bigster, Dacia is claiming to offer value for money, and with a price of about £35,000 on its best-of-breed versions, Bigster is Dacia's priciest variant to date. The bold move thus reflects Dacia's desire to continue growing in the SUV market.
