India's Palace on Wheels luxury train begins its first journey of the tourism season, showcasing Rajasthan's royal heritage.

India’s iconic luxury heritage train, Palace on Wheels, has set off on its first journey of the tourism season from New Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station. The flag-off ceremony was attended by Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) Managing Director Sushma Arora, Executive Director Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, O&M Managing Director Bhagat Singh Lohagarh, and Director Pradeep Bohra.

Palace on Wheels is one of the luxury trains with all royal comforts and travel experiences. It represents the royal heritage of Rajasthan and is a famous tourist destination. This season, 32 passengers are on board for the first journey, who hail from the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Poland, and India. The train can accommodate up to 82 passengers and gives an opulent travel experience, taking guests through Rajasthan's most magnificent cities.

RTDC Managing Director Sushma Arora was thrilled and proud of the train as it departed, saying, "It is a moment of happiness for all of us as 'Palace on Wheels,' the pride of Rajasthan, begins its first journey for this tourist season." She said the royal train will first go to Jaipur, where it will arrive in the morning of Thursday, after which the passengers will move to Sawai Madhopur.

The Palace on Wheels is a luxury train that gives tourists a view of the rich cultural and historical heritage of Rajasthan, giving them a glimpse into the lavish lifestyle of Rajasthan's former royal families. With its elegant interiors, fine dining, and world-class service, the train continues to fascinate travelers from all over the world. This season's journey is expected to attract both domestic and international tourists who are eager to experience the luxury and grandeur of Rajasthan's heritage.
