The enhanced platform provides a comprehensive view of network, identity, cloud, and Generative AI (GenAI) environments
Leader in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven extended detection and response (XDR), Vectra AI, Inc., has announced an important enhancement to its Vectra AI Platform. This update aims to bolster security operations center (SOC) teams with advanced tools to proactively manage and mitigate threats in increasingly complex hybrid environments.
The platform’s latest feature, Active Posture, is designed to address the sophisticated nature of AI-driven threats. As cyber-attacks become more intricate, Vectra AI emphasizes the necessity for SOC teams to stay ahead of potential vulnerabilities within their hybrid infrastructures. The enhanced platform provides a comprehensive view of network, identity, cloud, and Generative AI (GenAI) environments, enabling teams to discover, detect, and disrupt threats more effectively. Jeff Reed, Chief Product Officer at Vectra AI, emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring in the current threat landscape. He explained that SOC teams need to be aware of potential infiltration points and movement patterns of attackers within their hybrid environments, noting that gaps could be exploited rapidly without vigilant oversight.
The updated Attack Signal Intelligence feature now monitors over 20 AI-enhanced data streams and various attributes to identify crucial security gaps. These include issues with identity hygiene, network posture, and Microsoft 365 Copilot usage. The platform provides detailed insights into risks such as weak authentication, external access vulnerabilities, and inadequate data access controls. This enhancement empowers SOC teams to not only identify and address current compromises but also to proactively strengthen their security posture against future threats.
