At this year's Siggraph conference, the company introduced the Nvidia NIM microservices and frameworks, designed to enhance robot simulation and learning. Alongside these, Nvidia rolled out Nvidia OSMO, a platform for managing complex robotics tasks and facilitating remote control workflows.

These new offerings are set to address a significant challenge in robotics: the need for vast amounts of data to train robots. Nvidia's innovative tools allow developers to generate extensive synthetic data from a limited number of real human tasks, significantly speeding up the training process. Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, highlighted the revolutionary potential of humanoid robots by pointing out that the next wave of AI is robotics, and one of the most sought-after developments in this field is humanoid robots. He underscored that Nvidia is advancing its entire range of robotics to make it accessible to developers and companies globally.

This announcement comes amidst Nvidia's March introduction of Project GR00T, a general-purpose model for humanoid robots with the ability to process multimodal instructions. As the field gains momentum, with companies like Tesla advancing their own humanoid robots, Nvidia’s tools are poised to play a critical role in shaping the future of robotics.
