The vehicle supports 350 kW DC fast charging, ensuring rapid recharges during long trips
GMC has officially started delivering its highly anticipated 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, marking a significant milestone for the brand. Two years after its debut, this all-electric pickup is now reaching customers across the United States.
Built on GM’s versatile Ultium platform, shared with the GMC Hummer EV and Chevrolet Silverado EV, the Sierra EV aims to combine power with luxury. The first model to be released is the Denali Edition 1, which has two electric motors that produce a powerful 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. This allows the hefty 9,000-pound car to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 4.5 seconds. Equipped with a 200+ kWh battery, the Sierra EV boasts an impressive EPA-estimated range of 440 miles, second only to the Chevrolet Silverado EV 4WT. The vehicle supports 350 kW DC fast charging, ensuring rapid recharges during long trips. The Denali Edition 1 also inherits advanced features from the Hummer EV, including adaptive air suspension, four-wheel steering with CrabWalk capability, and the Multi-Pro Midgate, which expands cargo capacity for items up to 10 feet and 10 inches long. It also comes with GM's Super Cruise hands-free driving technology and a wide 11-cubic-foot trunk.
Priced at $99,495, the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 competes directly with the Tesla Cybertruck, offering superior range and hands-free driving capabilities that set it apart in the electric truck segment.
