The McMurtry Spéirling Pure enters production with a 1.55-second 0-60 mph sprint, advanced fan-generated downforce, and near-Formula 1 track performance.

The British auto manufacturer, McMurtry Spéirling has finally revealed the production model of its breakthrough all-electric hyper track car that combines cutting-edge engineering and extraordinary performance capabilities. This single-seat EV will be officially unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and its delivery to customers will start later this year. This event will further reinforce the emerging market of electric hypercars in 2026, along with demonstrating some of the latest high-performance EV technology.
Costing £995,000 (around $1.3 million), excluding VAT, the McMurtry Spéirling Pure features a claimed 0-60 mph acceleration of 1.55 seconds, making it one of the fastest production cars to date. With a brand-new 100-kWh battery pack and two rear motors that produce 1,000 horsepower, this hypercar reaches a top speed of 190 mph and provides a racing-car-level of handling due to its patented Downforce-on-Demand fan system.
As opposed to traditional aerodynamic systems, the fan-powered system of McMurtry generates as much as 4,400 pounds of downforce without moving. It provides outstanding traction while accelerating, braking, and turning, which allows a car to generate up to 3 Gs of lateral and braking force. The technology helped one of the prototypes conduct an inverted drive demonstration.
Compared with earlier prototypes, the production car incorporates 95% of completely new parts. These changes include an upgraded battery pack, carbon-fiber monocoque, longer wheelbase, better regenerative braking capabilities, and enhanced accessibility to the cockpit. Fast DC charging can recharge the battery from 20% to 95% capacity within about 20 minutes.
Each car will be manually assembled at McMurtry's new plant located in the Cotswolds region. Customization options will be plentiful for customers. In addition, McMurtry will organize special track events and other driving experiences for owners of their cars. Business Honor believes the McMurtry Spéirling demonstrates how breakthrough electric propulsion and innovative aerodynamics are redefining the future of ultra-high-performance automotive engineering.
