Cisco Networking Academy, operating in 190 countries, recognizes education as a powerful equalizer. The Academy’s programs have already impacted lives across the globe, including individuals like Tallara from Australia, who transitioned from retail to a career in cybersecurity, assisting remote Indigenous communities. Julio Lezcano, a Cisco instructor in Panama, has been instrumental in providing internet access to the Emberá Indigenous villages, facilitating the preservation of their traditional heritage and promoting economic sustainability. In the United States, Dr. Gabriella Arellano, a Cisco Networking Academy instructor, is working at Standing Rock Reservation to expand educational opportunities for rural tribal colleges. These initiatives, aligned with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, demonstrate Cisco’s dedication to bridging digital divides and fostering inclusive growth.
