Tricentis has named Erika Dean as the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the organization, entrusting the veteran cybersecurity professional with overseeing the company’s security strategy globally.
Erika Dean has more than 20 years of experience managing cybersecurity strategies in both the finance and technology sectors. She was formerly responsible for developing and managing security programs at Robinhood and Capital One, with an emphasis on protecting the organization, fostering resiliency, gaining customer trust and growing the business.
As the new CISO at Tricentis, Dean will be responsible for enterprise-level cyber security, compliance and product security programs. The Erika Dean CISO appointment comes as companies accelerate AI adoption and face growing cybersecurity challenges surrounding software supply chains, sensitive data and AI-enabled development.
At Tricentis, security of the firm’s Agentic Quality Engineering Platform is another key priority for Dean. Her main areas of concentration include software supply chain security, governance and cyber resilience.
According to Dean, security needs to go beyond a single firm but also help build trust for software utilized by customers in critical settings. Dean noted an increasing link between quality, security and governance due to AI technology in software development.
"As a recognized leader with expertise in implementing comprehensive security programs in enterprises and a customer-first mindset," Tricentis CEO Kevin Thompson says, "she is an ideal fit to take our security strategy forward."
This hire represents a wider pattern of tech companies increasing their focus on CISO leadership for AI adoption, especially with customer expectations rising for more transparency and governance around software security.
For Tricentis, Dean's arrival places cybersecurity at the intersection of software quality, AI development and enterprise risk management. Business Honor believes Erika Dean's appointment strengthens Tricentis' cybersecurity leadership at a time when AI adoption is increasing security, governance and software supply chain risks.
