Tata Motors Appoints DP Nambiar as Chief Human Resources Officer

Tata Motors Limited has announced key leadership changes, including the appointment of DP Nambiar as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective 29 May 2026. The move comes as part of broader senior management transitions within the Tata Group.

Tata Motors revealed that DP Nambiar would be the new Chief Human Resource Officer following the resignation of Sitaram Kandi from the same position. Sitaram Kandi plans to resign from his CHRO position at the end of business on 28th May and join one of the companies in the Tata group.

At present, DP Nambiar holds the position of Vice President and Head of HR Geographies & Corporate Functions at Tata Consultancy Services, located in Mumbai. Nambiar is known to have almost three decades of HR management experience across different regions such as India, Europe, and America.

Broader Organizational Restructuring

On similar lines, there have been some changes in the compliance management structure at Tata Motors as well. Sudipto Kumar Das has stepped down as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, effective from 1st June, to join another group company.

Ranjan Kumar has been brought on board as the new Company Secretary and Compliance Officer from 1st June. Previously, he worked with SKF India Limited as Director – Ethics, Legal, Sustainability & Corporate Affairs for India, South East Asia, and the Middle East regions.

Board Approval and Governance Update

The amendments have been evaluated and adopted by the Board of Directors in the meeting that took place on 13th May, based on the suggestions made by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
