New program equips professionals with essential skills for effective AI governance amid rising regulatory scrutiny and accountability.
The Association of Governance, Risk and Compliance has launched a new Certificate in AI Governance and Risk Compliance developed in partnership with BABL AI that is an algorithmic auditing firm based in the United States.
Designed for professionals in governance, compliance, legal and policy roles across all sectors the certificate aims to provide the essential knowledge, tools and confidence needed for responsible and effective AI governance. The program consists of six chapters and covers a wide range of topics, including foundational AI concepts, risk assessment frameworks, bias testing and organizational governance structures.
Mateo Jarrin Cuvi, AGRC’s Global Manager for Partners and Media emphasized the growing importance of AI governance stating “AI governance is no longer a niche specialism. It is a core professional competency for anyone working in GRC, compliance, or risk management.” He further underscored that the certificate provides a practical framework for addressing one of the defining challenges of our time developed alongside BABL AI ensuring depth and credibility in its approach.
Mert Cuhadaroglu, Training Programs Manager at BABL AI echoed these sentiments highlighting the necessity of structured governance in AI systems. He noted that the certificate translates real-world auditing experience into actionable skills for GRC professionals, setting a new standard in AI risk and compliance education. The certificate is now available through AGRC's learning platform allowing professionals to enroll individually or participate through organizational cohort arrangements. With this launch AGRC reinforces its commitment to enabling excellence in governance, risk and compliance in an increasingly AI driven world.
