Strategic Leadership Appointment Signals Firm's Commitment to Innovative Talent Management Approach.
The Levara Agency has made a big move in its growth as a company by establishing the Chief Human Resources Officer position. This is a major step in the journey of LVA’s talent and organizational strategy. As of August 2025, Bert Dumas was working in an interim position but will now be formally appointed as CHRO and Executive Vice President of Talent & Organizational Strategy. This appointment emphasizes the agency's commitment to strong leadership and effective management of talent and human resources.
According to Julian Mercer, LVA's Managing Partner and CEO, the organization is going through a major transition due to the complexity and growth of the organization, including the organization’s strategic advisory capabilities and how they support executive leaders who are experiencing complicated changes within their organizations. Dumas will be responsible for creating and implementing the enterprise-wide talent strategy, organizational design, leadership effectiveness and culture initiatives. The focus of Dumas’ expanded role is to create an alignment between the organization’s human capacity dynamics with the organization’s larger business goals so that organizations can navigate through complex workforce issues quickly and accurately.
The transition from a title change alone represents a significant milestone for LVA, which has evolved into a truly full-service strategic partner built on combining traditional data-driven insights with scalable human capital frameworks. In continuing to serve as a strategically aligned advisor to executive leadership teams and their boards through a holistic talent management strategy, Dumas is positioned to execute against current HR trends, moving HR away from a strictly operational and administrative role, to being seen as a key strategic function of any organization. By elevating Dumas's position to CHRO, LVA not only signals its commitment to making talent strategy an integral component of business operations; it assists with reshaping perceived HR roles into one that has a seat at the executive table.
