The Coastal Cloud acquisition, along with ListEngage, enhances TCS' Salesforce practice and is its largest buyout since going public.
Tata Consultancy Services has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Coastal Cloud, a Salesforce consulting firm located in the United States, for $700 million. This is TCS's largest acquisition since purchasing Citigroup Global Services for $512 million in 2008. The acquisition increases TCS's presence in the global Salesforce ecosystem and enhances its capabilities in AI-first transformation. According to a statement from TCS, by acquiring Coastal Cloud, TCS has achieved 100 percent ownership of a Salesforce Summit Partner that is known for providing enterprise-level, multi-cloud business transformation programs.
With this strategic acquisition, TCS will now be positioned as one of the top five Salesforce Advisory and Consulting firms in the World. Leadership from Coastal Cloud joined the Salesforce Partner Advisory Board earlier this year to provide guidance on how their products should be developed and what sort of additional services that will be needed to support future product launches, according to TCS. Based in Florida, USA, Coastal Cloud had consolidated revenue of $132 million for the Financial Year ending December 2024, which was up from $114 million during FY22, based on TCS filings with the Exchanges. Eric Berridge, a Salesforce veteran with a history of building and scaling successful leader in the Salesforce Service space, serves as the Leader of Coastal Cloud.
Coastal Cloud is also a Summit Partner of Salesforce, having been recognized for Agentforce, their Marketing and Commerce Cloud Solution. Combined, ListEngage and Coastal Cloud strengthen TCS's multi-cloud capabilities and provide TCS with access to more than 400 experienced professionals with over 3000 certifications. Coastal Cloud also provides TCS with expanded market access into the USA Mid-Market. Aarthi Subramanian, Chief Operating Officer of TCS, called this acquisition a significant milestone to advance our Global Salesforce Capabilities and accelerate our AI-Led Transformation Strategy. It's a Major step forward in our effort to continue to build TCS into the largest AI-led Technology Services Organization in the world.
