Benjamin James' Scarifour blends elegance and sport, with exclusive Stone Collection launching soon.
British watchmaking is seeing reappearance with a new generation of independent designers making waves. Brands like Split, Studio Underd0g, and Dennison are offering fresh takes on horology, and Benjamin James is leading the charge.
The Scarifour, a stainless steel watch that is inspired of classic timepieces like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Patek Philippe Nautilus, is one of their most notable models. The Scarifour is a flexible option for both professional and informal settings since it combines sportiness and elegance with style. Unlike the high-end Swiss brands, Benjamin James offers this impressive timepiece at a more affordable price.
The Scarifour comes in several versions. The Classic is the slimmest, available in five colors with either a quartz movement for £474 or a hand-wound movement for £810. There’s also an Automatic version for £648, featuring a self-winding Japanese movement. All versions are housed in a stylish 31mm by 40mm rectangular case, a size that’s gaining popularity in today’s watch trends.
This year, Benjamin James introduced a new addition to the Scarifour line, called the Stone Collection. These handmade Classic models, which retail for £948, include dials crafted from genuine natural stones such as blue lapis lazuli, orange agate, and green jade. Every dial is different, with minor variations in texture and color. However, the catch is that Benjamin James operates on a “drop” system, so these watches sell out fast. Only 100 units of each Stone Collection watch will be made annually, and they go live on October 1st. If you want one, be sure to set an alert for these watches are highly exclusive.
