New album features deluxe editions, fresh visuals, and a Sabrina Carpenter collaboration.
Pop sensation Taylor Swift has released the cover design and song list for her much-awaited 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl. The album will be released on October 3, 2025, and people around the globe are already abuzz with anticipation. The new cover features Taylor Swift slightly underwater, with a glittery swimsuit. The album name is found in bold orange letters, reflecting the fancy and enigmatic atmosphere of the endeavor. In addition to the regular album artwork, Swift promoted four unique deluxe CD offerings, all with distinct cover hues — orange, red, blue, and silver. All deluxe offerings boast varying subtitles: Sweat and Vanilla Perfume, It's Frightening, It's Rapturous Edition, and It's Beautiful, creating an exclusive touch for fans and collectors.
Taylor also posted the complete tracklist on her website and social media. The album features 12 tracks, including one collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter on the lead single. The song titles are characteristic of Swift's storytelling ability, with titles such as The Fate of Ophelia, Ruin The Friendship, and CANCELLED! Recording this album was a hectic but motivating experience for Taylor. She disclosed on the New Heights podcast that she composed a lot of the album while touring Europe during her Eras Tour. Although the physical exhaustion of performing wiped her out, her love of music kept her going. "Literally living the life of a showgirl!" Taylor explained the title of the album.
Producers Shellback and Max Martin, long-time colleagues of Swift, also contributed to this album, their reunion since her previous chart-toppers such as Red and 1989. The new sound and thrilling visuals of The Life of a Showgirl make this album a big hit of the year in Taylor Swift's music career. Fans can eagerly await it in the fall.
