BYD launches ATTO 2 in UK, offering advanced features, fast charging, and affordability in electric SUVs.

BYD, the world's largest producer of new-energy vehicles, has announced the UK specifications and pricing for its most affordable electric SUV yet – the all-new ATTO 2. With its focus on urban mobility without sacrificing tech or comfort, the ATTO 2 heralds a new era in BYD's push into compact EVs for daily use.

On sale in two trim grades – Boost and Comfort – prices begin at £30,850 for Boost and £34,950 for Comfort, both on-the-road. Despite its compact dimensions, the ATTO 2 offers a full complement of premium touches, such as a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen, wireless charging of smartphones, an eight-speaker sound system, 'Hi BYD' voice control, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, enabling drivers to power external devices directly from the vehicle.

The Boost model runs on a 51.1kWh battery, with a 214-mile range (WLTP combined), and up to 302 miles in towns. It features fast charging using an 82kW DC charger, which takes 30-80% to the top in only 30 minutes. The Comfort model, on the other hand, gets a 64.8kWh battery, providing an extended 261-mile range, with faster charging support through a 155kW DC charger, with 30-80% charge taken to the top in only 21 minutes.

At the core of ATTO 2 is BYD's innovative Blade Battery, which is both safe and durable. ATTO 2 also introduces Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, which embeds the battery within the body of the car to increase rigidity, safety, and efficiency of space. This product launch highlights BYD's mission to make smart, sustainable, and accessible electric mobility available to more drivers in the UK and Europe.
