TNG Digital appoints Sarveswaran as Chief Commercial Officer, focusing on inclusive growth and digital economy expansion.
TNG Digital named Sarveswaran (Sarves) as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), starting June 2025. With more than 15 years of experience in the financial sector, Sarves is well-placed to define the company's commercial direction, including strategic partnerships, merchant acquisition, and omnichannel growth. But his ambition is more than that—he is committed to crafting an inclusive financial ecosystem that unlocks more Malaysians into the digital economy.
Sarves' leadership ideology is rooted in the principle that technology can level the playing field and bring about sustainable change to marginalized communities. His past experience as CEO of TNG Digital Remittance witnessed major innovations, such as the introduction of the Touch 'n Go eWallet Visa Card and cross-border QR payments. These projects not only enhanced TNG Digital's global footprint but also made more affordable and accessible financial services available to migrant workers and rural dwellers.
Before TNG Digital, Sarves was Merchantrade Asia's Chief Money Services Business Officer, where he played an instrumental role in developing remittance services, cross-border payments, and multi-currency wallets. His efforts established many of the digital financial services that are currently popular in Malaysia.
Sarves continues to be engaged in the field of financial inclusion, consulting to the Malaysian Association of Money Services Business (MAMSB) and having served as a member of its council. His close ties with regulators and industry stakeholders reflect his dedication to compliance, innovation, and community-oriented financial services.
At his core, Sarves believes that everyone should have access to financial services. His appointment as CCO is indicative of his continued efforts to realize this vision, bridging the gap for marginalized communities and advancing Malaysia's digital economy as a whole.
