Quanterix Appoints Jim Gute as Chief Commercial Officer

Quanterix Corporation has appointed Jim Gute, a healthcare industry professional, as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), ahead of the expansion and growth of its diagnostics business, among other activities.

Gute shall take charge of Quanterix Corporation's global commercial activities as he works to ensure rapid growth and improved customer acquisition for the firm. This comes amidst the increasing focus on diagnostics and ultra-sensitive biomarker testing and spatial analysis technology from Quanterix.

Quanterix Corporation President and CEO Everett Cunningham noted that Gute has extensive commercial leadership experience at various healthcare companies and is well-equipped to help the firm execute on its expanding product portfolio.

Before his appointment at Quanterix Corporation, Gute was working as the Senior Vice President and Commercial Manager for General Screening at Exact Sciences. Gute had also worked as the General Manager of the Western Region of Exact Sciences.

Gute has been with GE Healthcare for 18 years, where he served as the President of the company. Throughout his career, he served in commercial leadership roles that aimed at enhancing business performance through increased efficiency and cost reduction.

Jim Gute Quanterix appointment comes at an opportune time for the firm as it tries to gain traction in its core business while getting ready for increased involvement in the diagnostics field.

Quanterix relies on ultra-sensitive detection of proteins in blood and high-plex spatial analysis of tissues, which enables its use in diagnostics and translational research.

Gute expressed his excitement at being the new leader of Quanterix’s commercial business as it prepares to launch into its diagnostics business. He also spoke about the potential to accelerate growth and improve health outcomes, especially in the Alzheimer’s disease segment.

Gute will work out of Quanterix’s headquarters located in Billerica, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Cleveland State University with both a B.A. and an M.A. degree.
