Schmuckler's leadership aims to accelerate innovation, AI-driven solutions, and expand internationally at Real Chemistry.
Real Chemistry, the leading healthcare marketing agency, has named WPP veteran JJ Schmuckler as its Group President and Chief Revenue Officer. Schmuckler is coming to Real Chemistry after nearly 20 years at WPP with significant experience in business development, marketing, and public relations. Schmuckler will help Real Chemistry drive its phenomenal growth in his new role. In 2024, the company achieved a 12% increase in revenue to $620 million and its manpower rose from 1,727 to 2,110 employees. As the company transitions from a holding company to a standalone corporation, Schmuckler sees the company's momentum and capacity to keep growing.
To maintain and fuel this growth, Schmuckler has charted a three-part strategy of new business, organic growth, and international expansion. He emphasized the importance of integrating services such as PR, creative production, and marketing to provide clients with comprehensive solutions. Real Chemistry will continue to press mergers and acquisitions as well, acquiring recently Avant Healthcare, a medical marketing agency in Indiana. In the coming times, Schmuckler will be using artificial intelligence (AI) for driving process improvement and creating client-centric solutions. He further added that Real Chemistry's medical marketing capabilities make it a leader in its industry, noting recent Cannes victories as proof of the same.
As the agency expands internationally, with offices in London, Manchester, and Zurich, Schmuckler underscores the value of local knowledge in medical marketing rather than using known models. This Strategy will enable Real Chemistry to be a respected global partner to its clients. With Schmuckler's addition, Michele Terra was named President of 21Grams, and Brenna Terry was named President of Integrated Communications, further supporting Real Chemistry's leadership. This shift is an exhilarating new era for Real Chemistry as it continues to drive the frontier of innovation and expansion in the PR and marketing segment.
